Last week Jake attended Outdoor Camp for a week. He learned to shoot a bow and arrow, build a shelter, and start a fire, along with other survival skills. He also went on several miles of hikes. Darrin was one of the instructors at the camp and he said Jake was a real trooper considering he was the smallest, youngest kid there.
Darrin said that Jake made the hikes far longer than necessary because he couldn't stop RUNNING back and forth from the front of the line to the back of the line to check on all his friends. He was exhausted every night.
Jake said it was the most fun he ever had.

Kindergarten Interview
I just realized that I never blogged about Jordan's kindergarten interview.
Before starting kindergarten at our school, each new student has an interview with the principal. She explains some things about kindergarten to them and has them perform a few readiness exercises (writing their name, shapes, numbers, etc...) and prays with them.
Jordan was very excited for her interview and I expected her usual hilarity. For some reason though, she completely clammed up and didn't have much to say. There were a couple of quote-worthy moments though.
"I have two brothers. One is Jake and he doesn't share and one is Josh and he poops his pants."
When the principal asked her if she had any questions about kindergarten she said, "Yes. I love straws."
All dolled up like a princes...
In the parking lot
We arrived a little early so we waited patiently.
...and impatiently.

11 Years
Today is my eleven year wedding anniversary. As usual, we are not actually going to see each other but we'll be together again tomorrow! Only twice in eleven years have we actually managed to spend our anniversary together. Crazy summer schedules keep getting in the way.
So happy anniversary to US!

My Girl is FIVE!
Happy birthday to my sweet Munchkee Bugaroo. A few days ago Tracy and I took both our birthday girls out for a photoshoot. They were both decked out in poofy skirts and held balloons. They loved the attention. As you can see, Jordy was her usual goofy self and couldn't focus on smiling for the camera. Goofy faces are SO HER though and I love it.
Happy birthday to my best girl!
