At Jordy’s very first ever basketball game, she played on a team with Jake and they won their game 30 to 9!  She is number one and Jake is number 2.  I made the shirts.  :)

Daddy gave her a good pep talk before her first game.  Get out there have fun and do your very best.  My pep talk went something like this: If you get bumped, don’t stand there and cry and wait for everyone to notice you.  If you’re hurt, get off the court if you’re not hurt, keep playing.

 Matching up against our opponents.

The girl in red that is guarding Jake (or is Jake guarding her?) is our neighbor down the street.  Her older sister plays on hubby’s high school basketball team.

This is our coach.  Coach Graves.  She’s very tall.

Bodie and Jordy guarded each other (he’s our neighbor as well) and it looked like they were dancing together the whole time.

 Still dancing.

Jordy has the ball!  Jordy has the ball!

What do I do!?  What do I do!?

I’m just going to run this way!

Jordy lost the ball.

Oh, you have to dribble when you run!

Now Jake and Jordy are on the floor together.

Jake is a new baller this year!  Last year he did little more than dance with his opponent during the games, this year, he’s actually aware of the game!  Excellent dribbling.

Jordy has a new dance partner!  He’s so tiny and cute!  (Her words)

Let’s dance!

Try this move!

Jordy has the ball!  Jordy has the ball!

Jordy lost the ball! Jordy lost the ball!

Go to the hoop!

Dribble into the entire opposing team!

Pose for the camera!

 Air Jaycob, catching a pass.

The shot that should have gone in instead of clanging off the inside of the rim three times before popping back out.  Robbed!

A little point guard action, coming down the court.

Remember my instructions to Jordan about what to do if she got bonked?  Well she got a head butt to the eye and collapsed on the floor in a very dramatic fashion.  I, of course, thought she was faking and rolled my eyes as everyone converged to help her.  I have a huge problem with anyone who acts like a drama queen and then gets a ton of attention for it.  I don’t allow my daughter to do that.  So I let dad handle it.  He walked over and found the huge goose egg on her eye brow.

I felt bad.  I guess she really got hurt this time.

But she didn’t stay down for long!

We won!  Go team!

Jaycob played a great game.  He assisted in four baskets and he played great defense.  So proud of this nugget for improving so much!

 My babies, the ballers.
